Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julio Regueiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Conor Larkin! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Regueiro connects with a body shot that sends Larkin's belly button to the back. Regueiro lands with a nice combination. Larkin backs away looking to recover. Larkin connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Regueiro's hands. Regueiro tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Larkin lands with a straight right. Regueiro didn't see that one coming. Regueiro tries to close the distance and clinch but Larkin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Regueiro defending well as Larkin loads up on a big left hand. Larkin drives through and clinches with Regueiro against the cage.
Regueiro pulls guard successfully.
Larkin gets to his feet - Regueiro follows without any prompting. Larkin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Regueiro sees it coming and avoids it easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Regueiro scores with a jab to the head.
Regueiro throws a good cross that connects.
Larkin moves into the clinch. Regueiro tries to pull guard but Larkin won't allow it.
Regueiro drags the fight down to the ground.
Larkin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Larkin tries to stand but Regueiro is controlling from the bottom. Regueiro is looking for a triangle but Larkin pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Larkin stands up from guard. Let's bang! Larkin clinches. Stalling in the clinch from Larkin.

Regueiro looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Regueiro is breathing heavily. Larkin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Regueiro is proving hard to escape from. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Larkin stands up from guard. Let's bang! Larkin lunges at Regueiro with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Regueiro's hand.
It looks like Julio Regueiro has been cut. Regueiro swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Regueiro on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Regueiro takes one to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Larkin cracks Regueiro with an open hand slap. Regueiro lands an overhand right. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Regueiro is looking to clinch. Larkin works the jab nicely. Larkin lands the left hand. Larkin has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. The fight moves into the clinch position. A short right hand to the side of the head by Larkin. Larkin lands a right hand. A nice right hand lands inside from Larkin. Regueiro is trying to pull guard but Larkin turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Larkin slowing the pace effectively. Regueiro tries to pull guard but Larkin holds him up against the cage and eventually Regueiro drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julio Regueiro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Larkin makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Larkin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Regueiro backwards. Regueiro takes a shot to the head. Larkin scores with an uppercut up the middle. Regueiro misses with a punch to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larkin lands with a short head shot on the inside. Larkin lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Regueiro. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Larkin working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. The referee is keeping an eye on Larkin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Larkin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Regueiro backwards. Larkin scores with a shot to the side of Regueiro's head. Larkin lands a nice shot to the body. Larkin makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Larkin working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Regueiro is rocked! Larkin lands a left hand.
Oh Regueiro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Regueiro's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Larkin lands a big right hand that drops Regueiro! The killer instinct kicks in and Larkin finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Larkin!
