Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Martino Ricci (ranked 6023 p4p, 620 weight class) and Seb Derange (ranked 4827 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Topper Green.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derange shoots in for a double leg but Ricci sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ricci lands a body punch.
Derange blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Derange drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ricci pulls his leg out and moves away.

Ricci rushes Derange and presses him up against the cage.
Derange has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ricci is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Martino Ricci has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seb Derange.

Ricci turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ricci manages to end up in side control.
You can see the frustration on Derange's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ricci stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Ricci closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Ricci lands with a light punch inside.
Ricci lands a right hand that snaps the head of Derange backwards.
Derange changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ricci fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Derange drops back looking for a leg! Ricci is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ricci manages to kick Derange off! Derange jumps back into Ricci's guard.

Derange drops back looking for a leg! Ricci is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ricci manages to kick Derange off! Derange jumps back into Ricci's guard.

Ricci wants to stand up but Derange is controlling him.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ricci is looking to stand back up but Derange counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ricci.

Derange looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Derange is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ricci doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Derange.

Ricci drives through and clinches with Derange against the cage.
Ricci stops a takedown attempt from Derange.
Ricci pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Derange drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Derange jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Seb Derange has got the better of the ground game so far.

Derange is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ricci is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ricci has escaped and now he's on top!

Ricci wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Derange's closed guard. He's half up but Derange has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Derange pivots and extends the arm, Ricci falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Derange! Well done that man!
