Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikael Eholm (ranked 6284 p4p, 660 weight class) and Chief Shadow (ranked 5311 p4p, 582 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eholm tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Shadow counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Eholm!
Shadow working the body and head with strikes.
Shadow working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Shadow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Shadow lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Eholm is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Shadow creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Eholm knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shadow on the ground.
Shadow grinds an elbow into Eholm's temple.
A big shot lands for Shadow! That's hurt Eholm! Will he recover? Shadow fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chief Shadow!
