Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leo Kovarov (ranked 4553 p4p, 204 weight class) and Kazushi Kazuraba (ranked 25796 p4p, 368 weight class). Leo Kovarov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kazushi Kazuraba's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leo Kovarov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazushi Kazuraba! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazuraba closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kovarov throws Kazuraba to one side and escapes! Kazuraba misses with a takedown attempt - Kovarov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kazuraba on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Kazuraba is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kovarov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kazushi Kazuraba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight moves into the clinch position. This has been an exciting period of action! Kazuraba is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Kovarov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Leo Kovarov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazushi Kazuraba. Kazuraba has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kovarov avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Kovarov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Good exchange - Kovarov coming out on top. Kovarov darts in and clinches Kazuraba up against the ropes. Kazuraba tries to pull guard but Kovarov forces him back to his feet, against the ropes. Kovarov cracks Kazuraba with a nice body shot. Kovarov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kazuraba throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kovarov's waist but Kovarov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kazuraba off to one side. Kovarov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kazuraba tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kovarov defends well and Kazuraba ends up having to push Kovarov into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kazuraba shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kovarov lands a body shot.
Kazuraba has his takedown stuffed and Kovarov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Kazuraba looks winded! Kovarov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kazuraba quickly recovers to half guard. Kovarov trying to control the pace. Kovarov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kovarov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kazuraba wants to get back to full guard. Kazuraba is refusing to be controlled, as Kovarov sits in half guard. Kazuraba is looking to improve his position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kovarov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kovarov is looking to take a break and control but Kazuraba is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kovarov closes the distance and clinches. Kovarov breaks from the clinch.
Kovarov closes the distance and pushes Kazuraba back into the ropes. Kazuraba jumps guard but Kovarov stands there with Kazuraba around his waist. Kazuraba gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kazuraba tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kovarov defends well and Kazuraba ends up having to push Kovarov into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kovarov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kovarov prevents Kazuraba from improving his position. Kovarov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kovarov with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kazuraba is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kovarov is looking for a kimura here.

Kovarov decides to stand up. Kazuraba drives through with a takedown into Kovarov's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Kovarov has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kazuraba off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leo Kovarov dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kovarov moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kazuraba is rocked! Kovarov batters Kazuraba with a massive right followed by a huge left! Kazuraba is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Kovarov lands a final crushing right hand to drop Kazuraba to the mat with a gruesome thud! Kovarov is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Leo Kovarov!
