The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muncher connects with a nice looking jab.
Muncher gets the takedown into side control.
Muncher decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hughes to his feet.
Hughes closes the distance and pushes Muncher back into the cage.
Muncher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hughes tries to clinch up.
Hughes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Muncher pushes Hughes off and gets back to his feet.

Hughes jumps guard but Muncher turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Muncher turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Hughes throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Hughes is looking to regain half guard here but Muncher keeps moving and retains side control.
Muncher cracks Hughes with a big right hand but Hughes just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Muncher scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Hughes is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Muncher can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
