Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kim Dickstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Manel Pimpolho!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickstein scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.


It looks like Manel Pimpolho has been cut.
Dickstein throws a nice outside leg kick.

Pimpolho fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dickstein, pushing him back against the cage.
Dickstein wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dickstein wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Pimpolho decides to pull guard.
Dickstein has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pimpolho is proving hard to escape from.
Pimpolho controls Dickstein momentarily but Dickstein frees himself.
Dickstein knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pimpolho on the ground.

Dickstein stands and steps away. Pimpolho gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Dickstein cracks Pimpolho with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Dickstein has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pimpolho to stand back up!

Pimpolho shoots in for a takedown but Dickstein shows good takedown defense.

Pimpolho shoots in for a double leg but Dickstein sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pimpolho changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dickstein tries to avoid it but Pimpolho manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dickstein to the ground. Dickstein escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dickstein's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
