Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Simon Jensen (ranked 3786 p4p, 400 weight class) and Cj McGregor (ranked 2931 p4p, 323 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jensen scores with a takedown into McGregor's guard. McGregor has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Jensen has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Jensen trying to stall but McGregor improves his position.
McGregor prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jensen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McGregor walks away with a smile on his face. Jensen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jensen swings widly with a right hand
and McGregor counters with a right hand to the body. Jensen swings away with a leg kick that misses. Jensen misses with a hook
and McGregor counters with a crisp right hand that drops Jensen! McGregor lets Jensen back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Jensen is rocked!
It looks like Simon Jensen has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McGregor tries to sprawl but Jensen drives through with a takedown into half guard. Jensen trying to mount his opponent but McGregor defends it. Jensen prevents McGregor from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jensen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McGregor's head. McGregor told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. McGregor regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Jensen. Jensen throws a strike but McGregor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jensen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. McGregor wants to stand but Jensen has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Jensen pushes a forearm under McGregor's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, McGregor is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
