And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Snow!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz misses with a head kick.
Diaz tries to clinch up.

Snow jumps guard.
Snow has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Diaz has passed into side control.
Diaz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Snow is trying to improve his position.
Diaz creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Snow sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Diaz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Snow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Snow tries to reverse the position but Diaz maintains control.

Diaz has hold of Snow's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Snow manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Snow wants to hold on but Diaz pushes him away.

Snow wants to control but Diaz is having none of it.
Snow is looking to improve his position but Diaz isn't that keen on the idea.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diaz lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Snow is doing well to control the position and prevent Diaz from advancing to side control.

Snow gets back to full guard.
Diaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Snow works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Snow wants to sweep here but Diaz controlling him for the moment.

Snow looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Snow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Snow is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Our spies down at at Boomerang!! PURE ELITE COACHES and Sparring Center inform us that Snow has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Diaz passes Snow's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Snow is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Diaz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Diaz's back!

Snow scoring with big shots to the body. Diaz is looking for a way out. A despairing look towards the ref and the official steps in to stop the fight. Diaz was obviously done but didn't want to tap out.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Snow!
A relieved looking Jon Snow thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
