Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy McLoughlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimi Toa!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLoughlin gets a double leg takedown into Toa's guard.
McLoughlin won't allow Toa to sweep him here.
McLoughlin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Toa is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McLoughlin, into his guard.
Toa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now McLoughlin is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McLoughlin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
McLoughlin lying in Toa's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Toa decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! McLoughlin taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
