The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonhson moves in looking to clinch but McAuliffe pushes him off.
A looping hook to the body misses from McAuliffe. Jonhson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jonhson tries to keep at a distance but McAuliffe has taken the fight into the clinch.
McAuliffe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jonhson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McAuliffe defends it nicely.

McAuliffe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jonhson circles away quickly and effectively.
It looked like Jonhson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
McAuliffe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

McAuliffe unleashes a big counter combination but Jonhson bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
McAuliffe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
McAuliffe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jonhson.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
