Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Min Halloway (ranked 5079 p4p, 509 weight class) and Lee Rowlands (ranked 3292 p4p, 360 weight class). The key to victory for Min Halloway has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Min Halloway! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lee Rowlands! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Halloway will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Halloway has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Annihilation Academy in the buildup to the fight. Halloway misses with the combination.
Rowlands tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Halloway defends well and Rowlands ends up having to push Halloway into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Halloway swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Halloway works over Rowlands's head and body with a nice combination. Halloway lands a slapping body shot.
Halloway defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rowlands. Halloway throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A lazy left from Halloway finds it's target. Halloway scores with a nice right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action! Halloway uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Rowlands needs to keep his hands up - Halloway had a free shot at his head there.

Halloway throws a combination that misses and Rowlands counters with a one-two to the body. Halloway lands a nice shot that snaps Rowlands's head back.
Min Halloway is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Halloway misses with a two punch combination.
Halloway fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rowlands looking to score a takedown here. Halloway is defending well but Rowlands drives through and ends up in Halloway's guard. Halloway working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rowlands. Rowlands is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Halloway wants to stand and escape but Rowlands is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rowlands is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Rowlands landing some decent shots from guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Halloway wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rowlands manages to pass to side control. Rowlands postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Halloway to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowlands gets a clinch. Rowlands gets through Halloway's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Rowlands prevents a body shot from Halloway. Rowlands jumps into guard, dragging Halloway to the mat.
Rowlands is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rowlands performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rowlands lands with a punch from half guard. Halloway is trying to stand.
Halloway wants to stand back up but Rowlands manages to pass into side control.
Halloway is letting Rowlands control him for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Min Halloway will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Rowlands counters with a thumping low kick. Rowlands moves into the clinch. Rowlands drags the fight down to the ground.
Rowlands is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rowlands looking for a guillotine here but Halloway defends easily.
Halloway is looking to stand up but Rowlands won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rowlands has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rowlands slips under a jab from Halloway. Rowlands shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rowlands fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Halloway scores with a nice strike. Rowlands gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Halloway cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Min Halloway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Rowlands. Halloway rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rowlands moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Rowlands takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Rowlands takes the fight into the clinch. Halloway digs a right hand underneath Rowlands's ribcage. Rowlands let out a lung full of air as it connected.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Halloway misses with an elbow strike.

Rowlands breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rowlands tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Halloway paws at him with a jab and circles away. Halloway seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Rowlands shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Halloway counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Halloway feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rowlandss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Rowlands shoots in for a takedown but Halloway shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rowlands is breathing heavily. Halloway swinging wildly here.
Rowlands wants to clinch up but Halloway keeps it at a distance. Halloway misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rowlands slips a straight right by Halloway. Rowlands wants to counter the offense by Halloway and move into the clinch position. Halloway gets tackled into the cage by Rowlands. Rowlands maintains the clinch. Rowlands is trying to trip Halloway. He has hold of a leg but Halloway is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rowlands persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Halloway is looking to stand back up but Rowlands counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Halloway. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rowlands in particular looking to stall. Halloway tries to kick Rowlands off in order to stand up. Rowlands Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Halloway is being controlled here. Rowlands tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rowlands has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Min Halloway will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Rowlands is trying hard to land a takedown here. Halloway sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Halloway tests Rowlands's chin there with a solid looking shot. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Halloway, as that shot connected.

Rowlands throws a head kick that misses. Rowlands tries to clinch but Halloway is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rowlands closes the distance looking to clinch and Halloway makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Rowlands takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Halloway lands a hook that stumbles Rowlands back into the cage. Halloway follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Rowlands to the canvas! Halloway pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Rowlands has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Min Halloway! Jumping up and down and very excited, Min Halloway waved his t-shirt featuring Annihilation Apparel's logo in front of the cameras.
