Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Vovchanchyn (ranked 1662 p4p, 177 weight class) and Jake Sekany (ranked 3373 p4p, 336 weight class). Vovchanchyn comes into the arena with The Emporors Ride by-EMMURE blaring out of the sound system. Sekany is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: John Fogerty-Centerfield. Fedor Vovchanchyn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sekany moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Fedor Vovchanchyn has been cut.

Sekany will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The fighters circle momentarily. Vovchanchyn darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Sekany goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Vovchanchyn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sekany.
Vovchanchyn lands a nice hook to Sekany's body. Sekany takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sekany takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Sekany looks to throw the jab but Vovchanchyn is out of range.

Sekany gets in close and instigates a clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vovchanchyn wants to pass the guard but Sekany is keeping the position.

Sekany working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vovchanchyn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vovchanchyn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sekany has his foot on Vovchanchyn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vovchanchyn works his way back into a safe position though.

Sekany has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Vovchanchyn should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sekany has tightened it up now! Vovchanchyn should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

After the fight, Jake Sekany was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
