Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Murdo Douglass (ranked 3929 p4p, 386 weight class) and Jean Claude Van Damme (ranked 5573 p4p, 527 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Douglass might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Union Underground - Across The Nation. Van Damme has chosen Stormtroopers march BY-MORBID ANGEL as his entrance music. Jean Claude Van Damme is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Murdo Douglass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jean Claude Van Damme!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglass blocks the body kick.
Van Damme misses with a body kick.
Douglass avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Van Damme blocks the body kick.
Van Damme misses with a hook
and Douglass counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Jean Claude Van Damme has been cut.
Van Damme dips to his left and cracks Douglass with an uppercut!
Van Damme throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Douglass counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Van Damme sizes up Douglass with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
It looks like Murdo Douglass has been cut.
Van Damme does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Douglass was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Douglass moves out of range of the body kick.
Van Damme throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A little feinted left hand from Douglass on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Van Damme throws a low kick, looking for Douglass's leg but Douglass calmly moves out of range.
Van Damme looking to land some kicks to the body here.
And Douglass counters with a quick kick to the body but Van Damme blocks it.
Van Damme stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Douglass.
Van Damme looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Van Damme misses with an attempted mid kick.
Douglass blocks a low kick nicely.
Douglass uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Van Damme.
Jean Claude Van Damme seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Douglass blocks the body kick.
Douglass uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Van Damme.
Douglass walks into a jab.
Van Damme lands a nice looking body shot.
Van Damme goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Van Damme motions for Douglass to come forward. Van Damme throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A slow jab from Van Damme misses its intended target.
Douglass turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Van Damme checks a low kick from Douglass.
Douglass takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Van Damme lets loose with a powerful body kick. Douglass will feel that in the morning.
Douglass blocks a head kick by Van Damme.
Van Damme lands a front kick.
Douglass moves out of range of the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Van Damme shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Van Damme lands a jab to the nose.
Van Damme misses the jab.
Van Damme throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

and Douglass counters with a nice uppercut.
Van Damme misses with a wild combination.
Van Damme looks to score with a jab to the body but Douglass is just out of range.
Douglass feints and then cracks Van Damme's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Van Damme down.

Van Damme swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Douglass counter with a right hand.
Van Damme misses with an uppercut.
An inside leg kick lands from Douglass.
Douglass checks a leg kick.
Douglass connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Van Damme out cold! This one is over in a flash!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Murdo Douglass!
Murdo Douglass seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Jean Claude Van Damme was interviewed post fight and said 'Bs....stoppage'.
