Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roddy Piper (ranked 2603 p4p, 267 weight class) and Wolfgang �bensplikt (ranked 3630 p4p, 362 weight class). Piper comes to the cage accompanied by Roddy Piper Entrance. �bensplikt has chosen More Than Nothing as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
�bensplikt lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Piper at a distance.
�bensplikt wants to clinch.
Piper looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The fight stays on the outside here - �bensplikt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
�bensplikt moves away from the strike by Piper.
Piper tries to sprawl but �bensplikt drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Piper pushes �bensplikt off and gets back to his feet.
�bensplikt throws a nice looking combination but Piper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
As �bensplikt looks to move away, Piper throws a big counter combo but �bensplikt just gets out of the way.
�bensplikt showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Piper.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Piper misses with a wild body shot.
�bensplikt throws a hook but Piper avoids it easily.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Piper lands a left hand.

Piper misses with a shot to the kidneys.
�bensplikt is looking for a takedown.
�bensplikt goes for a takedown in the clinch but Piper prevents it.
Piper tries to throw a body punch but �bensplikt avoids it by throwing Piper back against the cage.
�bensplikt wants the takedown. Piper is fighting it off but �bensplikt persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Piper's guard against the cage.
Piper is wriggling around but �bensplikt manages to pass to half guard.
Piper is trying to stand back up but �bensplikt is controlling him

Piper looks like he's trying to stand up.

�bensplikt throwing shots but Piper is blocking nicely.
�bensplikt sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Piper defending well though.
Piper keeps control of the position for the meantime.

The fighters are battling for position here. Piper manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Piper wants to get back to his feet but �bensplikt is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
�bensplikt postures up and lands a big shot to Piper's brow.
�bensplikt prevents Piper from getting back to his feet.
Piper has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Piper is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and �bensplikt dives into side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
�bensplikt cracks Piper with an elbow. That is naaassty.
�bensplikt is chipping away with strikes.
�bensplikt lands a big left to the face of Piper, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from �bensplikt and another - Piper is out! �bensplikt stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.
