Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karl Liebknecht (ranked 4740 p4p, 491 weight class) and Austin Gunnar (ranked 4910 p4p, 501 weight class). The key to victory for Karl Liebknecht has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Liebknecht! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Austin Gunnar! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunnar takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Gunnar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Liebknecht sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gunnar somewhat. Gunnar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Liebknecht circles away. Gunnar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Liebknecht to the mat! Liebknecht manages to get full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gunnar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Liebknecht knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gunnar on the ground. Liebknecht wants to get back to his feet but Gunnar is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Liebknecht is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Stratosphere that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gunnar's corner is telling him to maintain position. Gunnar's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunnar passes easily into side control. Nice work. Liebknecht prevents Gunnar from moving into mount. Gunnar is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Gunnar working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Liebknecht is not content to let Gunnar control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gunnar is trying to get an arm triangle but Liebknecht is defending well. Liebknecht is trying to get back to his feet. Gunnar has an Americana. Liebknecht didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gunnar is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gunnar hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Austin Gunnar! A relieved looking Austin Gunnar thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Karl Liebknecht spoke after the fight, saying 'NEEEEEEIN'.
