Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Coburn (ranked 5243 p4p, 516 weight class) and What Cheem (ranked 4377 p4p, 447 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheem tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Coburn counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Cheem takes the fight into the clinch.

Cheem with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Coburn has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Cheem is trying to keep an underhook but Coburn manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Cheem moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coburn keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cheem's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Coburn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cheem looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Coburn connects with a couple of short punches.
Coburn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Cheem is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Coburn frees his head nicely. Oh but Cheem has switched to an armbar! Coburn is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
