Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Spicoli (ranked 4999 p4p, 530 weight class) and Medusa Grip (ranked 4440 p4p, 492 weight class). Spicoli comes into the arena with Wolly Bully blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jeff Spicoli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Medusa Grip! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spicoli throws a hook to the side of Grip's head but Grip sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Spicoli uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Spicoli fails to land with a series of punches.
Grip misses with a hook
and Spicoli counters with a straight right hand. Spicoli lands a jab to Grip's midsection. Grip misses with a lunging right hand
and Spicoli counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've been told by Spicoli's head coaches at ELITE Island Gym - 19 Elite Coaches - $300/Week that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Grip's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Spicoli connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Grip scrambles back to his feet. Spicoli staying out of range there. Grip takes one to the chin there. Grip throws a big shot that misses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Spicoli cracks Grip with a good jab. Grip fails with the takedown and Spicoli counters with a stiff right hand. Grip throws the left hand but Spicoli avoids the punch easily. Grip throws a combination that misses and Grip takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A telegraphed right hand from Spicoli misses the target. Grip with the counter takedown but Spicoli avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spicoli misses the shot to the body. Grip throws a looping overhand right but Spicoli ducks down to avoid it. Spicoli ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Grip on the wrong end of a nice jab. Grip fails with an attempt to clinch.
Spicoli stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Grip takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Grip is rocked! Grip misses with a lunging right hand
and Spicoli counters with a nice right hand that sends Grip toppling to the canvas! Grip scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Spicoli finish him?! Grip is still on wobbly legs! Can Spicoli finish him? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Spicoli fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Grip out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Jeff Spicoli! A relieved looking Jeff Spicoli thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
