Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Xaito Siu (ranked 25785 p4p, 507 weight class) and Zalio Suiol (ranked 8965 p4p, 478 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Zalio Suiol was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xaito Siu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zalio Suiol!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suiol throws a combination that misses
and Siu moves into the clinch.
Suiol throws a knee to the head but misses.
Suiol tries to pull guard but Siu forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Siu throws an elbow that misses.
Suiol escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Suiol swings away with a body shot that misses
and Siu counters with a one-two to the body.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Siu checks a leg kick.
Siu shoots in for a double leg but Suiol sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Suiol moves in looking to clinch but Siu pushes him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Suiol has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Siu is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Xaito Siu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zalio Suiol.
Suiol ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Suiol no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Horrible takedown attempt by Siu or perhaps it was just good defense by Suiol, which made it look bad.

Siu shoots in looking for a takedown. Suiol tries to sprawl out of it but Siu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Suiol manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Siu tries to bum rush Suiol with a series of wild strikes but Suiol uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Suiol instigates a clinch.
Siu has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Suiol avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Suiol is trying to trip Siu. He has hold of a leg but Siu is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Suiol persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Siu is looking to stand up but Suiol isn't so interested in that idea.
Suiol wants to control from the top but Siu keeps moving.

Suiol is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Zalio Suiol has got the better of the ground game so far.

Siu pulls Suiol in close to prevent any damage.
Siu has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Suiol is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Siu.

Zalio Suiol has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Xaito Siu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
