The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avery looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Avery looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Meister!
Avery will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Meister tries to improve position but can't.
Avery in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Meister tries to control but Avery manages to take his back.

Meister tries to escape the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Avery not allowing Meister to control his hands.
Meister really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Avery. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Avery is hanging on to Meister's back as he tries to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Avery misses with a punch to the head.

Avery controlling well, preventing Meister from escaping the position.
Meister just trying to survive but Avery is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Avery lands punches and elbows.
Meister is trapped and Avery is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Avery has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Meister is defending well but eventually Avery manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Meister has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
