Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jubei Yagyu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ginchin Funakoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ginchin Funakoshi enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funakoshi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Yagyu looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Yagyu stuffs the takedown attempt from Funakoshi. Funakoshi gets slowly back to his feet.
Yagyu thows a body shot but no joy.
Funakoshi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yagyu moves away.
Yagyu has his takedown stuffed
and Funakoshi counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Funakoshi.
Funakoshi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Yagyu is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Funakoshi, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Funakoshi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yagyu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Funakoshi is tightening it up a little... Yagyu has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Yagyu reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Yagyu taps out! nice BJJ there by Funakoshi!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Ginchin Funakoshi!
