Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Police Officer (ranked 4244 p4p, 441 weight class) and Oliver Taquses (ranked 2807 p4p, 309 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 3 losses; Police Officer! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 2 losses; Oliver Taquses! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Officer gets in close and instigates a clinch. Officer wants the takedown. Taquses is fighting it off but Officer persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Taquses's guard against the cage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Taquses is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Taquses is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Officer is aware though and is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taquses escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Officer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Officer postures up.

Taquses has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at LOD: Top Team. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Taquses sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Officer's guard. Taquses wants to control but Officer is keeping him busy. Officer desperately trying to maintain half guard. Taquses wants to pass the guard but Officer is defending well.

Taquses has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Officer defend it? Taquses steps over the head and cranks it - Officer is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Taquses!
