And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 9 losses; Helio Kimura!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Kimura moves into the clinch successfully.
Damozzi tries to pull guard but Kimura holds him up against the cage and eventually Damozzi drops back down to his feet.
Damozzi is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kimura to keep the fight standing.

Kimura is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Damozzi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Damozzi controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Damozzi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kimura has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Damozzi has managed to get both his arms back between Kimura's legs - danger averted.

Damozzi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kimura swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Damozzi wants to control from the top but Kimura keeps moving.
Kimura not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Damozzi advances position into side control!

Damozzi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kimura has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kimura is looking to regain half guard here but Damozzi keeps moving and retains side control.

Damozzi swings around for an armbar but Kimura sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Damozzi's guard.

Damozzi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kimura doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kimura manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Damozzi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kimura controls the pace.

Damozzi has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Damozzi is not content to let Kimura control the position.
Damozzi manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kimura's best efforts.

Kimura is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Damozzi sees it coming and defends easily.
Damozzi has his hands clasped together around Kimura's back. He's all about the action.
Kimura content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Kimura is keen to just control but Damozzi is a slippery customer.
Damozzi regains full guard. Nicely done.

Damozzi has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kimura doesn't defend quickly enough and Damozzi has managed to lock this one up! Can Kimura escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Damozzi on a fantastic submission victory.
