The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brockman swivels and escapes.
Ramirez throws a nice looking combination but Brockman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No joy there for Ramirez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ramirez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Brockman!
Brockman is squirming around, avoiding Ramirez's attempts to control the action.
Brockman wants to control but Ramirez is having none of it.
Brockman is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Brockman is looking to control Ramirez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brockman avoid being mounted?
Ramirez wants to stand up but Brockman is controlling the position.
Brockman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ramirez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ramirez's back!

I really don't envy Ramirez right now.

Brockman has good solid back control here.

Brockman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ramirez for as long as he can get away with.
Ramirez rolls, trying to escape but Brockman keeps control of the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Brockman has good solid back control here.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Brian Brockman just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brockman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Brockman counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ramirez!
Brockman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Brockman swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
