Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ulrik Meyer (ranked 481 p4p, 74 weight class) and Russell Northrop (ranked 452 p4p, 65 weight class). Northrop is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Alive And Kicking. Ulrik Meyer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Northrop misses with an uppercut. Meyer saw that one coming.

Meyer is looking for a counter combo.
Northrop will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Northrop throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Northrop counters with a three punch combo that has Meyer backing up. Meyer nods at Northrop to acknowledge the strikes.

That was a close round but I would say that Ulrik Meyer will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Northrop fails to land with a series of punches.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Northrop crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Meyer - the referee stops the clock and Northrop gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Meyer. Northrop manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Northrop is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Meyer pulls his head out easily.

Northrop is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Meyer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Meyer's back!
