The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zap feints and as Rigano raises his hands in defense, Zap changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rigano has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zap can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Zap wants to control from the top but Rigano keeps moving.

Zap must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Zap really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rigano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Zap is posturing up here but Rigano has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Zap tries to roll out but it's too tight and Zap has to tap! Slick submission there by Rigano!
