The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doyea fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Doyea lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nielsen misses with an uppercut. Doyea saw that one coming.
Doyea tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nielsen was well out of range. Poor timing from Doyea.
Doyea throws a head kick that misses
and Nielsen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Arod Doyea has been cut.
Nielsen getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Doyea swings for the body but Nielsen moves out of range.
Doyea lands a really nice looking cross but Nielsen seems unphased.
Doyea avoids the body shot from Nielsen.
Nice body punch from Nielsen.
Nielsen lunges at Doyea with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Doyea's hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Doyea keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Doyea has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Doyea connects with a body shot that sends Nielsen's belly button to the back.

A head kick lands from Nielsen that sends Doyea to the canvas. Doyea tries to scramble back to his feet but Nielsen brings him back down into side control.

Doyea is rocked!
Nielsen scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Doyea is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Nielsen can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
