Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Simond (ranked 7204 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ceaser El Toro Jr (ranked 5877 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simond tries to score a power double leg takedown but El Toro Jr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Simond somewhat.
El Toro Jr avoids a punch combination nicely.
Simond has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA New York in the buildup to the fight.
El Toro Jr has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from El Toro Jr there as he acknowledges the shot.
A jab from Simond finds it's way through El Toro Jr's defenses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
El Toro Jr throws a chopping leg kick but Simond manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
El Toro Jr gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Simond is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
El Toro Jr keeping moving, preventing Simond from controlling successfully.
Simond scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Simond drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Simond seems to have locked his on tight now - El Toro Jr screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Simond, as he picks up the win!
