Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Loel (ranked 1372 p4p, 179 weight class) and Darren Burns (ranked 2690 p4p, 312 weight class). Loel kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bush - Glycerine. Yuri Loel could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Darren Burns's chin.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loel tests Burns's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Burns thows a left - swing and a miss!
Loel lands a jab.
Loel scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Burns throws out a loose jab but Loel uses good head movement to avoid it.
No joy there for Loel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Loel dodges the punch combination from Burns.
Loel slips under a jab from Burns.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Burns.
Darren Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burns lands the left hand.
Burns misses with a body shot
and Loel counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Burns throws a right and a left that Loel avoids nicely.
It looked like Loel was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Burns has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Loel.
Loel scores with a nice strike.
Loel has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Lovelair Muay Thai/MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Loel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Burns's head backwards.
Burns is rocked!

Loel avoids the body shot from Burns.
Burns takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Loel misses with a double jab.
Burns has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Loel counters with a crisp one two that drops Burns! Loel thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Burns to his feet! Burns is in big trouble!
Burns is still on wobbly legs! Can Loel finish him?

Burns seems to have recovered his senses.
Loel lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Burns goes down and covers up as Loel starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Our winner, Yuri Loel, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
