Kinski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Petmalu was well out of range. Poor timing from Kinski.
Kinski defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Petmalu.
Petmalu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kinski! But no joy.
Kinski scores with a jab to the body.
Petmalu has a takedown stuffed.
Kinski is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Petmalu with a body shot.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lodi Petmalu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kinski lands a jab.

It looks like Lodi Petmalu has been cut.
Kinski paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kinski thuds his right hand into Petmalu's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kinski cracks Petmalu on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Petmalu falls backwards against the cage. Kinski follows up with more strikes that drop Petmalu to his knees. Kinski keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Petmalu! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Klaus Kinski!
Klaus Kinski decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
