Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Corrales (ranked 3927 p4p, 412 weight class) and Yuran Franco (ranked 5126 p4p, 505 weight class). Corrales comes to the cage accompanied by Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop. Yuran Franco struggled to make weight for this fight. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nelson Corrales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yuran Franco!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corrales throws the left hand but Franco avoids the punch easily.
Franco closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Corrales to the mat! Corrales manages to get full guard.
Franco is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franco lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Corrales has momentary wrist control but Franco slips an elbow through the middle.
Corrales is rocked!
Franco gets to his feet and stands over Corrales, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Corrales felt that one! Franco unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Corrales from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yuran Franco!
