Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitchell Orr (ranked 25466 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Jimenez (ranked 7176 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos Jimenez will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mitchell Orr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Jimenez! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Orr gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jimenez is looking to work some ground and pound but Orr has wrist control. Jimenez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jimenez gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Jimenez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Orr to score an easy takedown into full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jimenez is on top in guard.
Jimenez distracts Orr with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Orr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jimenez is controlling him. Jimenez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jimenez postures up.
Jimenez slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Jimenez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jimenez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Orr manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jimenez has Orr in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jimenez controlling Orr's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Orr trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jimenez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Orr lands a couple of digs. Jimenez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Jimenez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jimenez preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jimenez can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jimenez is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Orr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Orr wants to stand but Jimenez has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Orr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Orr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Orr has gone for a leg lock! Jimenez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Orr's guard.
Jimenez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Orr, up you get! Jimenez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Orr is trying to defend but Jimenez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Jimenez takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jimenez stands up and beckons Orr to join him on the feet. Orr avoids the head kick by Jimenez.
Jimenez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Orr tries to close the distance and clinch but Jimenez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Orr with a poor takedown and Jimenez counters with a two punch combo. Orr is breathing heavily. A head kick misses from Jimenez. Orr was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jimenez with a body punch. A glancing blow. Jimenez misses with a two punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Jimenez dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jimenez circles away from the clinch attempt and Orr takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mitchell Orr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Orr gets a double leg takedown into Jimenez's guard. Jimenez has his feet on Orr's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. A big right followed by a crushing left from Jimenez knocks Orr out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Carlos Jimenez!
