Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Kane (ranked 25988 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vance Sparks (ranked 3857 p4p, 0 weight class). Vance Sparks will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xavier Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vance Sparks! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane stuffs the takedown attempt from Sparks. Sparks gets slowly back to his feet. Kane clinches up with Sparks and pushes him back against the cage. Sparks tries to pull guard but Kane holds him up against the cage and eventually Sparks drops back down to his feet.
Kane turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kane manages to end up in side control. Kane cracks Sparks with a big right hand but Sparks just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Kane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sparks tries to bench press Kane off him but Kane keeps the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kane controlling from side mount. Sparks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kane lands a few punches from side control. Kane scores with punches from side control. Kane connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sparks some visible discomfort.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane working the body and head with strikes. Kane lands a few punches from side control. Kane scores with a couple of short elbows. Sparks takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Kane working the head with strikes. Sparks taking punishment in the form of punches.
Kane stands up. Kane moves into the clinch successfully.
Sparks drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Xavier Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vance Sparks. Sparks is trying to pull guard but Kane turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane looking for a takedown. Sparks looking to stall.
Sparks wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sparks can't get the takedown.
Sparks is trying to stall.
Sparks tries to pull guard but Kane forces him back to his feet, against the cage. The referee calls for Kane to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sparks has had enough of the clinch but Kane keeps him there for the moment. Sparks is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kane gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Kane pulls Sparks into guard.
Kane throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Sparks stopping the sweep attempt from Kane. Sparks is sitting in close to Kane's body. Kane has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Sparks is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Sparks is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kane.
