Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Granville Bass (ranked 25776 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elija Elizondo (ranked 6140 p4p, 423 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Elizondo misses.
Bass swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Elizondo tries to clinch but Bass is having none of it.

Elizondo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bass to the mat! Bass manages to get full guard.

Bass is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Elizondo is aware though and is defending well.

Elizondo wants to stand but Bass has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bass will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Elizondo wants to control from the top but Bass keeps moving.
Elizondo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bass. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Elizondo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Bass manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Elizondo is trying to break the clinch but Bass has him pressed against the cage.

Elizondo wants to get back to striking at distance but Bass won't allow it.

Elizondo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bass tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Elizondo is in Bass's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Elizondo postures up and lands a big shot to Bass's brow.

Elizondo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Bass gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Elizondo to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Bass manages to escape and get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bass dives in and grabs Elizondo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Elizondo pushes down on Bass's head and hops out.
As Bass backs off Elizondo throws a huge counter combo but Bass manages to avoid it all.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Elizondo stands and steps away. Bass gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Elizondo is looking to clinch but Bass is avoiding it.

Elizondo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Elizondo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bass throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

The fighters are working up against the cage. Bass manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Elizondo tightens his grip and picks Bass up, before dumping him to the ground. Bass manages to land in guard.

Bass has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Elizondo has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Elizondo is trying to force a seperation but Bass has the dominant position.

A frustrated look appears on Elizondo's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Elizondo jumps into guard, dragging Bass to the mat.

Elizondo will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Bass stops Elizondo from standing up.
Bass is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Elizondo has momentary wrist control but Bass slips an elbow through the middle.
Bass wants to control from the top but Elizondo keeps moving.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Elizondo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

That's time! Bass's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Bass had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Elizondo defends it easily.

Bass has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Elizondo is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Elizondo is trying to push Bass away but Bass has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Elizondo wants to stand but Bass is controlling his posture from full guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Elizondo's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bass throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Elizondo slips a nice elbow through Bass's hands, connecting with Bass's forehead.

Bass is rocked!
Granville Bass overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Elizondo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Oh Bass is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Elizondo scores with a big shot! Bass's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Bass! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
