Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeremiah Levine (ranked 6099 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Valdez (ranked 6141 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremiah Levine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Valdez! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Levine takes a shot right to the bread basket. Valdez shoots in but no luck this time. Levine tries to counter with a takedown but Valdez is quick to defend against it. Valdez throws a lazy head kick and Levine counters with a single leg into guard. Valdez didn't expect that. Valdez looking to control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Levine throws a strike but Valdez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Levine will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valdez trying to control the position from guard on top but Levine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Valdez cracks Levine with a solid left hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Valdez tries to buck Levine off but Levine is having none of it. Levine connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Valdez some visible discomfort.

Levine throws an elbow but Valdez slips to the side and avoids it well. Valdez tries to buck Levine off but Levine is having none of it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Levine connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Valdez some visible discomfort.

Valdez goes for a double leg but Levine avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Levine continues to drive forward. Levine swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. No luck with that takedown attempt from Valdez. Jeremiah Levine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Valdez or perhaps it was just good defense by Levine, which made it look bad. Valdez pushes Levine up against the cage in a clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Levine. Levine working Valdez over with knees to the body. Levine controlling the action here for a moment.
Levine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Levine. No joy for Valdez on that attempt. Levine feinted with a counter takedown. Valdez is breathing heavily. Valdez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Levine counters with a nice double leg into side control. Valdez won't be happy with that. Valdez takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Valdez taking a bit of punishment here - Levine scoring with strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Levine cracks Valdez with an elbow. That is naaassty. Levine prevents Valdez from escaping the position. You can see the frustration on Valdez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Valdez taking punishment in the form of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valdez is looking to regain half guard here but Levine keeps moving and retains side control. Levine landing a few strikes. Levine lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Valdez tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Levine presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Valdez tries to get back to half guard but can't. Levine is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Valdez can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Levine with a couple of short strikes. BOOM! Levine connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Levine scoring with strikes but Valdez is staying in there. Levine postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Valdez looks a forlorn figure.
Valdez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jeremiah Levine overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Levine in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Jeremiah Levine dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Valdez. A momentary lapse in concentration from Valdez enables Levine to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Valdez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Levine throws a strike but Valdez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Levine looking to control.
Levine pulls Valdez in to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valdez preventing the sweep. Levine is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Valdez tries to get to full guard but Levine has control of the leg. Ground and pound from Levine. Levine prevents Valdez from improving his position. Levine looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Valdez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Valdez wants to improve his position but Levine is controlling well.
Valdez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Valdez trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Levine manages to pass to mount!
Levine is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Valdez can do to turn this around? Valdez is desperately trying to improve his position but Levine has a good base and remains in mount. Levine putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Levine lands a big shot there that rocks Valdez but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Valdez slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Levine winds up and cracks Valdez with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Valdez wants to get back to full guard. Levine lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Valdez has hold of Levine's hands but Levine slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Levine lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Levine takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Levine is thwarting Valdez's attempts to control the position. Levine lands a big shot. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Levine seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Oscar Valdez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jeremiah Levine is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Levine working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
And that's the end of the fight! Jeremiah Levine showed his dominance in that final round. Well Levine has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
