1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Romero! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero circles away from the clinch attempt.
Van Morin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Romero. Van Morin seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Van Morin looks to clinch and Romero counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Romero told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Romero should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Romero darts in looking for a takedown but Van Morin gets double underhooks and turns Romero into the cage. Van Morin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Romero, pushing him back against the cage. Van Morin 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Van Morin is looking to clinch. Romero wants to counter the offense by Van Morin and move into the clinch position. Van Morin stuffs the takedown. Krill Van Morin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hector Romero. Van Morin moves out of range of the body kick from Romero.

It looks like Hector Romero has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Van Morin plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Romero to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Romero just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
