Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Percy Carney (ranked 6118 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Stevenson (ranked 6117 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Percy Carney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Stevenson! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevenson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Carney keeps the fight on the outside. Carney shoots in and drives through. Stevenson sprawls well. Stevenson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carney sneaks out the side door and pushes Stevenson away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Carney avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Carney fires out a quick counter leg kick but Stevenson just manages to avoid it. Carney really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Stevenson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Stevenson showed some decent athleticism there. Carney has one foot on Stevenson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carney takes the fight into the clinch. Stevenson is defending well against a takedown attempt. Carney tries to pull guard but Stevenson holds him up against the cage and eventually Carney drops back down to his feet.

Carney drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stevenson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Stevenson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Carney has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Stevenson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Carney is looking for a takedown. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stevenson presses Carney against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Stevenson is pressed up against the cage. Carney has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stevenson down to the mat. Stevenson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Carney is breathing heavily. Stevenson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Carney knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stevenson on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stevenson scoring with strikes but Carney is staying in there.

A close round but Jack Stevenson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Stevenson lands a big shot to the head and Carney winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
