Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thatcher Halverson (ranked 1930 p4p, 236 weight class) and Big Mac (ranked 2151 p4p, 258 weight class). Halverson comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Sandman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Thatcher Halverson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Big Mac! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mac avoids the body shot from Halverson.
Mac comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Mac misses the shot to the body. Halverson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Halverson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mac does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We've been hearing that Halverson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Halverson passes the guard and advances to mount! Mac wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Halverson.
Poor strikes thrown by Halverson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Halverson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Halverson tries to control but Mac wriggling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mac is working to get back to half guard.
Halverson throws a wild left hand from mount and Mac manages to wriggle his way back to half guard. Halverson trying to pass the guard but Mac defending well. Halverson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mac's head. Halverson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Halverson trying to work for an americana but Mac has managed to regain full guard.
Halverson wants to pass the guard but Mac is keeping the position. Halverson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mac is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mac has escaped and now he's on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Halverson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Halverson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Halverson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mac doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Halverson is tightening it up a little... Mac has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Mac reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Mac taps out! Nice BJJ there by Halverson!
