Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, The pit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, brick wall! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! pit throws a body punch but wall moves out of range. wall throws a hook but pit avoids it easily. pit scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. pit trying to control the action but wall is working from the bottom. wall manages to get back to half guard. wall makes his way to full guard. A much better position for wall. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. pit tries to free his leg and advance position but wall is retaining full guard. pit trying to control the position from guard on top but wall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. wall tries to land a sweep but no joy. pit postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. pit is looking to stand up but wall won't let him. wall trying to control the position.
pit missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. pit tries to clinch but wall is having none of it. wall throws a wild body kick that pit sees coming a mile off. wall tries to grapple but his opponent circles and pit decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in wall's guard. wall looking to sweep here. No luck so far. wall keeping moving, preventing pit from controlling successfully. pit trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. pit wants to stand but wall has a closed guard, so he can't escape. wall keeping moving, preventing pit from controlling successfully. pit is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. pit is breathing heavily. wall seems keen to control pit's posture.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. pit looks for a takedown but wall sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. wall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. wall with good strikes from the mount here! pit tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. wall controlling the pace for now. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. pit keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
wall fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
wall wants to control the pace but pit is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. pit taking shots to the head. wall lands a big elbow. wall can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as pit is looking to escape. wall is landing with some decent strikes but pit is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. wall controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
brick wall dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

wall tries for a takedown but pit circles away easily and pit counters by clinching up. wall is trying to break the clinch but pit has him pressed against the ropes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. pit tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

wall pushes pit back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. wall jumps into guard, dragging pit to the mat.

pit chips away with some ground and pound. pit will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. wall has his hands on pit's head, controlling the position. wall working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. wall looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. wall throws a sloppy head kick and pit moves out of range easily. pit drives through with a takedown into guard. wall keeping moving, preventing pit from controlling successfully. wall is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. wall looking to hit a scissor sweep but pit is one step ahead there. wall trying to control the position.
pit postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. pit throwing strikes from guard but wall blocks nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. wall will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. wall looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. pit loads up on a big right hand but wall slips the punch. pit with a poor takedown and wall decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in pit's guard. pit kicks wall off and gets to his feet. wall displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. wall tries to clinch but pit moves out of range. wall shoots in looking for a takedown. pit tries to sprawl out of it but wall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. pit manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. pit closes the distance and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but brick wall will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Nope, wall circles away and we're back to standing. pit with a poor takedown and wall counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. wall is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. pit utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. wall trying to control the position from guard on top but pit is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. pit is trying to control the position but wall postures up. wall decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on pit, up you get! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Excellent takedown into side control there by wall.
That's one minute gone in the round. pit is looking to regain half guard here but wall keeps moving and retains side control. wall decides to stand up, so the ref orders pit to his feet. wall fails with a takedown attempt from distance. pit tries for a takedown but wall circles away easily and wall decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's worked his way up against the ropes but pit has just dragged him back down to the mat. wall struggling a bit here. pit is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down wall's shoulder. That is not cool. pit tries to advance to mount but can't. The referee asks pit politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. pit prefers to stall for the moment though. pit working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. wall struggling a bit here. wall is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on pit's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. wall wants to get back to full guard. The pit has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! brick wall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. pit seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
And that's the end of the fight! brick wall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got wall winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
