Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derek Pappalardo (ranked 7739 p4p, 613 weight class) and Hans Hermann Hoppe (ranked 3044 p4p, 343 weight class). Hoppe comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wind of Change kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Derek Pappalardo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hans Hermann Hoppe! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pappalardo gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hoppe changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pappalardo fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hoppe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pappalardo rushes Hoppe and presses him up against the cage. Hoppe blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Pappalardo misses with a short punch on the inside. Hoppe tries to pull guard but Pappalardo holds him up against the cage and eventually Hoppe drops back down to his feet.
Pappalardo throws a punch but it's blocked by Hoppe. Hoppe lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Pappalardo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pappalardo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pappalardo tries to get out of the position. Hoppe throwing shots but Pappalardo is blocking nicely. Hoppe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoppe is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Hoppe thows a huge punch but Pappalardo dodges it nicely.
Hoppe scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pappalardo tries to kick Hoppe off but Hoppe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Hoppe is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Hoppe perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hoppe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pappalardo's head. Hoppe thows a huge punch but Pappalardo dodges it nicely.
Pappalardo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hoppe. Hoppe sitting and controlling from the half guard. Pappalardo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hoppe is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoppe maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Pappalardo could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hoppe has cracked it and Pappalardo is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hoppe!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Hans Hermann Hoppe! Hans Hermann Hoppe bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
