Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ayn Rand! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Jamison! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jamison shoots for a double leg takedown but Rand sprawls well. He's pushed Jamison's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jamison shoots for a takedown but Rand saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rand throws a head kick but Jamison moves out of range.
Rand fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jamison shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rand as he jumps to the side. Rand drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jamison sprawls and moves away. Ayn Rand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Jamison. Jamison throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jamison looks to clinch and Rand counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jamison won't be happy with that. Rand has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jamison is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Rand yanks on the arm and Jamison is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Rand.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ayn Rand! During a confident post fight interview, Ayn Rand thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
