Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chang Sang Yoo (ranked 25965 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tadashi Katsumoto (ranked 5128 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chang Sang Yoo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tadashi Katsumoto! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yoo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Yoo is defended easily by Katsumoto. Katsumoto lands a right hook to the body.
Yoo throws a wild body kick that Katsumoto sees coming a mile off. Katsumoto looks for a takedown but Yoo sprawls well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Katsumoto clinches with his opponent.
Yoo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Katsumoto pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Katsumoto tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Katsumoto is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Yoo is defending well. Chang Sang Yoo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tadashi Katsumoto. Yoo goes for a takedown in the clinch but Katsumoto prevents it.
Katsumoto blocks a body shot from Yoo. Yoo is pressed up against the cage. Katsumoto has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Yoo down to the mat. Yoo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Yoo throws a series of punches but Katsumoto moves out of range. Katsumoto shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yoo as he jumps to the side. Katsumoto pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Katsumoto rushes Yoo and presses him up against the cage. Yoo is trying to pull guard but Katsumoto turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Katsumoto pressing his opponent against the cage. Katsumoto is looking for a takedown. Katsumoto looks winded! Katsumoto manages to break the clinch.
Yoo lands a right hook to the body.
Yoo misses with a head kick.
Yoo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Katsumoto. Katsumoto gets in close and instigates a clinch. Katsumoto can't get the takedown.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Katsumoto jumps guard but Yoo stands there with Katsumoto around his waist. Katsumoto gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Katsumoto is struggling to control the position. Yoo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Katsumoto is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Yoo looking to throw knees to the head but Katsumoto is blocking nicely.
Yoo jumps into guard, dragging Katsumoto to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yoo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Yoo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Yoo trying to keep a closed guard but Katsumoto is proving a slippery customer.
Yoo is working an open guard so Katsumoto takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Katsumoto looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Katsumoto shoots for a double leg takedown but Yoo sprawls well. He's pushed Katsumoto's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Yoo closes the distance and clinches up with Katsumoto, looking for a takedown. Yoo pushes Katsumoto against the cage but Katsumoto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. No luck for Yoo with that takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Katsumoto shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Katsumoto fails to land the takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Chang Sang Yoo will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nice takedown defense from Katsumoto. No joy for Yoo on that attempt. Yoo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Yoo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Katsumoto is fending him off so far but Yoo persists. Nope, Katsumoto circles away and we're back to standing. Katsumoto throws a counter combo. Katsumoto darts in and clinches Yoo up against the cage. Yoo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Katsumoto.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chang Sang Yoo. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Katsumoto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Katsumoto moves into the clinch. Yoo is pressed up against the cage. Katsumoto has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Yoo down to the mat. Yoo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Chang Sang Yoo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Yoo takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Katsumoto shoots in for a takedown but Yoo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Yoo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Yoo fails with the takedown and Katsumoto counters with a head kick. Katsumoto has closed the distance and engaged Yoo in a clinch.

Katsumoto wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Yoo is now in half guard. Katsumoto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Katsumoto has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Katsumoto wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Katsumoto tries to land a sweep but no joy. Yoo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Katsumoto is keeping the position for now. Katsumoto has his foot on Yoo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yoo works his way back into a safe position though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Yoo throws a lazy body kick and Katsumoto holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Yoo taking a breather. A battle for position here, against the cage. Katsumoto manages to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Katsumoto looks for a takedown but Yoo sprawls well. Katsumoto circles away from the clinch attempt.

Tadashi Katsumoto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Katsumoto is looking to clinch. Yoo shoots in looking for a takedown but Katsumoto manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Yoo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Yoo goes for a double leg but Katsumoto avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Katsumoto continues to drive forward. Katsumoto feints a counter leg kick. Katsumoto gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Katsumoto jumps into guard, dragging Yoo to the mat.

Yoo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Katsumoto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Yoo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Yoo throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Katsumoto tries to bum rush Yoo with a series of wild strikes but Yoo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Katsumoto lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Katsumoto. Yoo went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Yoo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Katsumoto avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chang Sang Yoo. Yoo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Yoo shoots in for a takedown but Katsumoto shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Yoo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Katsumoto pinned against the cage. Katsumoto gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Katsumoto clinches up against the cage. Katsumoto lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Katsumoto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

And that's the end of the fight! Tadashi Katsumoto comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Katsumoto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
