Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nassime Al Jamal! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Al Jamal uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tanquinho. Al Jamal feints the counter takedown. Tanquinho wants to clinch. Gilberto Tanquinho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tanquinho throws a sloppy head kick and Al Jamal moves out of range easily. Al Jamal circles away from the clinch attempt.
Al Jamal leaves Tanquinho with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tanquinho misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tanquinho is looking to clinch. Tanquinho tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Al Jamal is looking for the big counter here. Al Jamal fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tanquinho shoots for a double leg takedown but Al Jamal sprawls well. He's pushed Tanquinho's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Al Jamal looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Tanquinho! Tanquinho throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. A lull in the action here.

It looks like Al Jamal might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Al Jamal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanquinho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tanquinho is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Tanquinho is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Al Jamal off and has taken his back! Al Jamal is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Despite being in a bad position, Al Jamal is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts. Al Jamal is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Al Jamal is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Tanquinho off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Tanquinho has the hooks in. Al Jamal is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Al Jamal looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Can Al Jamal hold on?! Tanquinho is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tanquinho is not going to allow Al Jamal to sit and survive in this position. Tanquinho is landing with strikes. Al Jamal can't take much more of this. Al Jamal finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes. Al Jamal sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Al Jamal tries to kick Tanquinho off but Tanquinho keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Tanquinho has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Al Jamal looking for submissions off his back. Tanquinho stops Al Jamal from getting back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tanquinho is looking to work some ground and pound but Al Jamal has wrist control. Tanquinho throwing strikes but missing. Tanquinho postures up in Al Jamal's guard and throws a big left but Al Jamal blocks it. Tanquinho wanted to stand there but Al Jamal had control of the position. Tanquinho trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tanquinho is looking to work some ground and pound but Al Jamal has wrist control. Tanquinho working some strikes from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Al Jamal uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tanquinho. Nassime Al Jamal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Al Jamal clinches with his opponent.
Al Jamal is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tanquinho gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Tanquinho is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Al Jamal is defending well. Al Jamal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Al Jamal has a takedown stuffed. Al Jamal looking to score a takedown here. Tanquinho is defending well but Al Jamal drives through and ends up in Tanquinho's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tanquinho thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Tanquinho is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Al Jamal is controlling him. Al Jamal sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanquinho is looking to cinch up a triangle. Al Jamal throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Tanquinho's body to avoid the submission. Tanquinho has instead reached around Al Jamal's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Tanquinho arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
