Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stanford Mccoy (ranked 24821 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eliezer Kubanza (ranked 6059 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Stanford Mccoy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eliezer Kubanza! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kubanza fails with the takedown. Mccoy throws a big counter combination but Kubanza scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Kubanza shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mccoy defends it nicely. Mccoy is looking for a counter combo. Kubanza has a takedown stuffed. Stanford Mccoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eliezer Kubanza. Mccoy shoots in for a takedown but Kubanza shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mccoy scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Mccoy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kubanza tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Mccoy manages to move to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mccoy decides to return to a standing position. Kubanza has a takedown stuffed. Mccoy tries a head kick but it misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mccoy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mccoy won't allow Kubanza to sweep him here. Kubanza keeps trying to improve his position. Kubanza has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Mccoy has passed into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mccoy avoids the attempt from Kubanza to control. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mccoy punching from mount but Kubanza doing a good job of avoiding damage. Mccoy avoids the attempt from Kubanza to control. Mccoy swats away the attempt to clinch by Kubanza. Mccoy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kubanza but Kubanza pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kubanza throws a lazy head kick and Mccoy counters with a series of strikes. Kubanza will be more careful next time no doubt. Mccoy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mccoy circles away from the clinch attempt and Mccoy counters with a three punch combo that has Kubanza backing up. Kubanza nods at Mccoy to acknowledge the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kubanza takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mccoy rushes Kubanza and presses him up against the cage. Kubanza's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Mccoy is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kubanza to keep the fight standing. Mccoy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kubanza can do to turn this around? Stalling in the clinch from Mccoy.
Mccoy is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Kubanza fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mccoy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kubanza fails with a takedown attempt. Mccoy lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Nice takedown defense from Mccoy. No joy for Kubanza on that attempt. Stanford Mccoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eliezer Kubanza. Kubanza gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mccoy to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kubanza throws his legs up looking for a submission but Mccoy uses it to pass to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kubanza dodges the ground and pound from Mccoy. Kubanza is trying to improve his position. Mccoy misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kubanza is trying to improve his position. Mccoy throws a strike aimed at the side of Kubanza's head but Kubanza avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mccoy decides to take the fight back to the feet. Mccoy drives through with a takedown into guard. Kubanza working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mccoy. Kubanza is working an open guard so Mccoy takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Mccoy looks to land a body kick but Kubanza moved away. Kubanza shoots in looking for a takedown but Mccoy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kubanza's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kubanza throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mccoy's waist but Mccoy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kubanza off to one side. Kubanza is breathing heavily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Kubanza has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mccoy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mccoy pulls guard successfully.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kubanza looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A head kick from Mccoy lands but Kubanza takes it in his stride. Mccoy stuffs the takedown attempt from Kubanza. Kubanza gets slowly back to his feet. Mccoy misses with a double jab.

Kubanza feints a jab promting Mccoy to slip. Kubanza then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mccoy slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Kubanza misses with a double jab.

Mccoy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mccoy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kubanza keeps working. Mccoy is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kubanza has managed to free his arm - good work. Mccoy decides to stand up. Mccoy avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mccoy tried to counter with a leg kick but Kubanza avoided it. Kubanza tries to clinch but fails miserably and Mccoy counters with a body kick that stops Kubanza in his tracks momentarily. Eliezer Kubanza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kubanza steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mccoy. That one must have hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kubanza goes for a double leg but Mccoy avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mccoy continues to drive forward. It appears Mccoy was looking to counter with a kick there. Kubanza tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mccoy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mccoy feints and as Kubanza raises his hands in defense, Mccoy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kubanza wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mccoy manages to pass to side control. Mccoy takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Mccoy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Mccoy gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kubanza on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mccoy. Mccoy obviously looking to wear him down.
Kubanza stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kubanza wants it to stay on the feet. Mccoy clinches with his opponent.
Mccoy lands with a right to the head. Kubanza is trying to break the clinch but Mccoy has him pressed against the cage. Mccoy lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Mccoy has Kubanza pressed against the cage.
Mccoy goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kubanza prevents it.

Mccoy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kubanza walks away with a smile on his face. Mccoy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mccoy dives in and grabs Kubanza's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kubanza pushes down on Mccoy's head and hops out. Stanford Mccoy is winning the standup battle so far. Mccoy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mccoy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kubanza wants to control but Mccoy is keeping busy.

And that's the end of the fight! Stanford Mccoy showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mccoy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
