Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rory Gallagher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Alldikes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Rory Gallagher has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gallagher is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Alldikes cracks Gallagher with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Gallagher doesn't manage to clinch there - Alldikes circles away.
Gallagher moves into the clinch. Gallagher breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Alldikes moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Gallagher connects with a high kick.
It looks like Jake Alldikes has been cut. Alldikes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Alldikes drops his hands momentarily and Gallagher takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Gallagher moves in looking to clinch but Alldikes pushes him off. Alldikes keeps the fight on the outside. Gallagher moves out of range as Alldikes strikes. Gallagher avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gallagher misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gallagher tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Gallagher rushes Alldikes and presses him up against the cage. Alldikes should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Gallagher manages to break the clinch.
Alldikes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gallagher takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Alldikes prevents Gallagher from escaping the position. Sloppy strikes there by Alldikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gallagher regains half guard there - taking advantage of Alldikes's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Gallagher is refusing to be controlled, as Alldikes sits in half guard. Gallagher regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Alldikes. Alldikes trying to control the position from guard on top but Gallagher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Alldikes might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gallagher kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Alldikes has eaten all the pies! Alldikes sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Alldikes won't allow Gallagher to get back to his feet. Alldikes throws a strike but Gallagher rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Gallagher tries to stand but Alldikes is controlling from the bottom. Gallagher stands up from Alldikes's guard - Gallagher perhaps looking for a knockout. Alldikes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gallagher's guard. Alldikes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gallagher avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alldikes lands a couple of decent looking shots. Alldikes tries to free his leg and advance position but Gallagher is retaining full guard. Alldikes missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Alldikes looking to pass the guard. Gallagher is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. A nice left hand lands by Gallagher.

Gallagher breaks the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alldikes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Alldikes shoots in looking for a takedown. Gallagher tries to sprawl out of it but Alldikes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gallagher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Rory Gallagher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alldikes looks gassed! Gallagher sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Alldikes to the ground! Gallagher dives into full mount looking to finish! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alldikes can do anything to dispel that myth. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gallagher stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Gallagher wants to clinch. Gallagher tries to clinch up. Gallagher scores with a push kick. Gallagher tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alldikes paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gallagher lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Alldikes crumples to the floor! Gallagher milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Rory Gallagher!
