Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Crane (ranked 6160 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yanshi Ji (ranked 5865 p4p, 540 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mickey Crane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yanshi Ji! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ji throws a nice head kick!
Ji misses with a few strikes there.
Ji pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crane with a lazy takedown attempt and Ji connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ji throws a head kick that half lands.
Ji throws a head kick that Crane semi-blocks.
Ji lands a head kick!
The fighters circle momentarily. Ji darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Crane avoids the head kick by Ji.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ji looks to land a combination but Crane avoids it well. Crane drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ji sprawls and moves away. Ji goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Ji throws a sloppy head kick and Crane moves out of range easily. Ji throws a right hand that Crane ducks under and follows up with a left that Crane also avoids with ease. Crane darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Ji wants to stand back up but Crane manages to pass into side control.
Ji looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round. Ji wants to get back to his feet. Crane tries for a kimura but Ji is defending well. Ji is trying to get back to his feet. Crane is trying to get an arm triangle but Ji is defending well. Crane wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ji, who protects the arm well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ji avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Crane. Ji is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Ji takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Crane tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crane goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ji rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Crane's guard! Nice work there by Ji! Crane looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Ji is defending well. Crane quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Ji has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Crane celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mickey Crane!
