The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Franklin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nelson is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Franklin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Nelson creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Franklin's defenses.
Nelson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Franklin's efforts to push away.

Franklin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Franklin is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nelson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Franklin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nelson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Franklin has managed to get both his arms back between Nelson's legs - danger averted.

Well Nelson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
