Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kong Dunnachai (ranked 4521 p4p, 529 weight class) and Kenny Lewis (ranked 4967 p4p, 562 weight class). Lewis has chosen Thoroughly - Lighting Strikes as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kenny Lewis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kong Dunnachai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kenny Lewis! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dunnachai throws a body shot but no joy. Lewis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dunnachai swivels and escapes. Dunnachai wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Lewis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dunnachai throws a hook but Lewis blocks it. And Lewis tries to counter it with a takedown but Dunnachai pushes his down on his head and steps out. Dunnachai throws a jab when Lewis was well out of range. A jab from Dunnachai finds it's way through Lewis's defenses. Dunnachai connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lewis's hands. A big left from Dunnachai misses. Lewis has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Dunnachai thuds his right hand into Lewis's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Lewis tries to clinch but Dunnachai is having none of it. Lewis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dunnachai was well out of range. Poor timing from Lewis. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dunnachai connects with a single shot there. Lewis takes a swing at Dunnachai's ribcage but misses. Some wild striking there from Dunnachai.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dunnachai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lewis is looking to clinch. Dunnachai definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The fighters circle momentarily. Dunnachai darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Dunnachai works the jab nicely. Dunnachai scores with a shot to the body.

Lewis closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Dunnachai jabs at Lewis's body. Dunnachai looks to land a combination. Lewis sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dunnachai jabs Lewis right on the nose. Lewis blinks but takes it well. Dunnachai ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lewis moves away. Dunnachai pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Lewis shoots in but no luck this time. Kong Dunnachai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenny Lewis. Dunnachai waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lewis. Lewis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dunnachai pinned against the cage. Dunnachai gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dunnachai swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Dunnachai is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Dunnachai throws a looping overhand right but Lewis ducks down to avoid it. And Lewis tries to counter it with a takedown but Dunnachai pushes his down on his head and steps out. That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Lewis fails with a takedown attempt. Dunnachai throws a shot from downtown. Lewis moves away and avoids it. Dunnachai lands a really nice looking cross but Lewis seems unphased.
Dunnachai ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Dunnachai lands a nice looking body shot.
Dunnachai is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Lewis takes a shot right to the bread basket. Dunnachai throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lewis on the side of the head. Dunnachai misses the jab. Dunnachai jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Lewis avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dunnachai tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lewis swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lewis tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Dunnachai stuns Lewis with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Dunnachai throws a body shot but no joy. Lewis avoids the body shot from Dunnachai.

Lewis is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Dunnachai fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lewis manages to avoid it. Lewis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Dunnachai is doing well to control the position and prevent Lewis from advancing to side control. Lewis is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dunnachai has managed to free his arm - good work. Dunnachai pushes Lewis off looking to stand but Lewis dives back in and keeps control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lewis is working for a kimura here but Dunnachai manages to reverse the position and he's now in Lewis's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunnachai won't allow Lewis to sweep him here. Lewis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lewis keeping moving, preventing Dunnachai from controlling successfully. Dunnachai is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lewis can do to turn this around? The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Dunnachai works a leg free and moves into half guard. Dunnachai looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lewis can do anything to dispel that myth. Lewis regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dunnachai preventing the sweep. Lewis keeping moving, preventing Dunnachai from controlling successfully. Lewis looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Dunnachai passes into side control.
Lewis gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Lewis moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dunnachai is looking to work some ground and pound but Lewis has wrist control. Lewis keeping moving, preventing Dunnachai from controlling successfully. Lewis has a closed guard, preventing Dunnachai from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dunnachai showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Lewis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dunnachai doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dunnachai manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lewis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dunnachai defends it easily. Dunnachai slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Lewis is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dunnachai is looking to take a break and control but Lewis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lewis defending against the ground and pound. Dunnachai throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lewis wants to control but Dunnachai postures up. Dunnachai throwing shots but missing, from side control. Lewis manages to get back to half guard. Lewis moves into full guard.

Kong Dunnachai dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

A slow jab from Dunnachai misses its intended target. Dunnachai throws a lazy right hand but Lewis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. The fighters circle momentarily. Dunnachai darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Lewis Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Dunnachai can't do much from the bottom here. Lewis throws an elbow but Dunnachai slips to the side and avoids it well. Dunnachai wants to control but Lewis postures up. Lewis throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Dunnachai works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Dunnachai is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunnachai blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lewis. Lewis throwing shots but Dunnachai is blocking nicely. Lewis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dunnachai defends it well. Dunnachai keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Lewis thows a huge punch but Dunnachai dodges it nicely.
Lewis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dunnachai sees it coming and defends easily. Dunnachai holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dunnachai wants to improve his position but Lewis is controlling well.

Dunnachai works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Lewis has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Dunnachai scores with a jab to the jaw. Jab by Dunnachai. Lewis doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Lewis slips under a jab from Dunnachai. Dunnachai keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Lewis thows a left - swing and a miss! Kong Dunnachai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dunnachai slaps away a takedown attempt from Lewis, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dunnachai is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Lewis misses with a body punch
and Dunnachai counters with a stiff right hand. Lewis avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Kong Dunnachai is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Good shot there by Dunnachai.
And that's the end of the fight! Kong Dunnachai showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dunnachai, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
