Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Conner Oriley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tupa Tamatoa!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oriley tries a head kick but it misses.
Oriley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tamatoa.
Conner Oriley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tamatoa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Oriley stuffs the takedown.
Conner Oriley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tupa Tamatoa.
Oriley will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Tamatoa tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Oriley defends well and Tamatoa ends up having to push Oriley into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Tamatoa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Oriley counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Tupa Tamatoa has been cut.
Oriley ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Tamatoa looks winded!
A head kick from Oriley lands but Tamatoa takes it in his stride.
Tamatoa slaps away a takedown attempt from Oriley, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Oriley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tamatoa manages to avoid it.
Oriley lands a left and a right that send Tamatoa crashing to the mat, dazed. Oriley thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Tamatoa is rocked!
Oriley fakes the leg kick and cracks Tamatoa in the body.
Tamatoa is still on wobbly legs! Can Oriley finish him?
Oriley fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Oriley lands with a kick to the ribs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tamatoa get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Tamatoa stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Oriley runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Conner Oriley!
