The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima is trying hard to land a takedown here. Aoki sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Lima doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Aoki counters with a straight right hand.
Lima shoots and misses
enabling Aoki to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raphael Lima. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lima closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aoki circles away.
Aoki lands a jab to the nose.
Lima shoots in for a takedown but Aoki shows good takedown defense.
Lima has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Aoki finds it's way round the side to connect with Lima's head.
Raphael Lima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aoki throws a series of strikes that have Lima backpedaling.
Aoki slaps away a takedown attempt from Lima, before circling back to the center of the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lima shoots and misses
and Aoki makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Aoki cracks Lima with a good jab.
Aoki drops Lima with a naaaaasty hook - Lima is in real trouble here! Aoki dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
