Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Mayo (ranked 25548 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipov (ranked 3833 p4p, 379 weight class). Mirko Filipov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mirko Filipov! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Filipov sprawls well initially but Mayo persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Filipov tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Mayo manages to move to mount!
Mayo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mayo dominating with strikes here. Mayo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Filipov wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Mayo tightening his grip on Filipov, looking for the choke. Mayo is hanging on to Filipov's back as he tries to escape.
Mayo is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Filipov has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Mayo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Filipov has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Filipov is trapped and Mayo is scoring with shots to the head and body. Mayo is working the ground and pound. Can Filipov escape? Filipov looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Filipov trying to control the hands but Mayo won't let him. Mayo connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Filipov to escape the position.
Filipov rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Filipov is looking to control Mayo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Filipov avoid being mounted? Mayo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mayo forces Filipov back against the cage and clinches. A frustrated look appears on Mayo's face as he tries to break the clinch. Mayo fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Filipov is wriggling around but Mayo manages to pass to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Filipov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mayo is working away from the top position though. Mayo working the head and body with strikes. Filipov controlling the position well. Ground and pound from Mayo. Filipov is looking to get back to is feet but Mayo passes into side control.

Bill Mayo dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Mayo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Filipov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mayo is in Filipov's guard. Mayo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Filipov is looking for a triangle here but Mayo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Filipov is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Mayo is one step ahead and moves to full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mayo looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Filipov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mayo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mayo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Mayo is looking to work some ground and pound but Filipov has wrist control. Filipov has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Mayo has passed into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mayo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Filipov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Filipov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Filipov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mirko Filipov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bill Mayo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. No luck for Mayo with that takedown attempt. Filipov shapes to counter with a head kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Bill Mayo showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mayo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
